Rush

Some people believe that Geddy Lee's high voice, Neil Peart's thoughtful lyrics, and Alex Lifeson's unusual style of guitar playing come together to make an amazingly annoying band. Others, including myself, believe that the uniqueness of Rush makes them that much better. Rush gives listeners a welcome break from the monotonous music of the 90's. Rush started their band in Toronto in the late 1960's. They found themselves emulating such bands as Cream and Led Zeppelin. Rush quickly broke away from the bandwagon, and they began playing a new style of music, unique to Rush alone. This was quite definitely the best decision the band ever made. Geddy Lee may have a high voice, but a unique voice is always a good thing when it comes to music, and their drummer Neil Peart is definitely the most talented drummer alive today. Their unique style earns them the title of "weird" from many listeners, but to those who welcome their change they will live on forever.
