I would have to say Led Zeppelin is one of the most talented bands ever formed. Formed in 1968 as "The New Yardbirds," they began touring instantly, and by the time they were finished their name had become Led Zeppelin. The band went into the studio to record their first album, which took less than 30 hours. Before New Years of 1968 the band signed a contract with Atlantic Records and set off for the United States. Their arrival changed hard rock forever. Their insightful music inspired many other bands into playing music of a similar nature. Aerosmith, Rush and even Metallica have covered songs from this outstanding band. Their style of integrated blues and rock began a completely new genre of classic rock n' roll. Even the most closed minded of listeners must agree that Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham were the greatest mixture of talented musicians ever.
