The metal rock group Guns n' Roses formed in 1985, and in the eight years of their career they had won over millions of rock fans with their rebelious antics. Consisting of Axl Rose on vocals, Izzy Stradlin and Slash on guitar, Duff Mckagen on bass guitar and Steve Adler on the drums, Guns n' Roses were idolized by rebels of the 80's for their somewhat riotous behavior. Their creative lyrics were sometimes based on violence, but Rose's ability to write astounding songs was always apparent to his fans. The drummer Steve Adler was forced to leave the group in 1989 due to a heroin addiction, and in 1990 the group began recording again with new drummer Matt Sorum and Keyboardist Dizzy Reed. The band gained popularity over the years with it's simultaneous release of their albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. It was near this time, however, that the rock era began to fade, only to be replaced by Grunge and Punk. Guns n' Rose's popularity faded as the years went by, until they were froced to break up. Recently, however, Vocalist Axl Rose has entered the studio to begin a possible return to the music industry.
