Aerosmith

Aerosmith is definitely one of the most successful rock bands of today. They are liked by practically everyone, from the posers who listen to Hanson to the people who have always enjoyed the talent of classic rock. Their hard rock style can only be described as creative, yet it follows that same great pattern of most 70's classic rock. Formed in 1971, Aerosmith began their career consisting of only Steven Tyler on vocals/harmonica, Joe Perry on lead guitar and Tom Hamilton on bass guitar. Later came Joey Kramer on drums and Brad Whitford on rhythm guitar. Aerosmith's career was unfortunately filled with parties and drugs. This caused them to split up in 1979, and several band members went their own ways with solo albums. By 1984, however, the band had decided they'd had enough of drugs and got back together. The drugs were never completely gone until 1989, when Aerosmith was pronounced 100% sober. Since then they've continued to put out quality concerts and albums, and as long as they're together they'll never stop.
